What is the OwnYourPower Program?

The OwnYourPower Program places control in the hands of you: the member. Enroll an approved smart device to get rewarded and start saving.

Why Should I Join?

LREC members who enroll in the OwnYourPower Program will receive a one-time monetary incentive as well as an additional incentive annually at the end of each heating and cooling season or members will receive a special rate, if the proper metering equipment is in place.

Members who enroll in the OwnYourPower Program will receive a one-time monetary incentive as well as an additional incentive at the end of each year of participation.

How Does It Work?

Participation allows your local electric cooperative to make brief changes to your smart thermostat or water heater settings via Wi-Fi during times of peak energy demand. This helps limit the impact on the electrical grid during times of the day when the most energy is being used.

Do You Qualify?

Google Nest 3rd and 4th gen thermostats are eligible for this program. 1st and 2nd gen thermostats are not supported. Check here to determine which Nest thermostat you have.
